Along with website and education experience, I worked for five years as a reporter for SDPB radio where I earned an Edward R. Murrow award in 2010. I am also a co-founder of the first ever Startup Weekend (an educational business pitch competition) in Western South Dakota, now in its third year.
I write the content, so my bio should be some amazing piece of literature that engages from the beginning-yes? Full disclosure–it’s always easier to shine up someone else’s life and make them sparkle, so I’ll just hit the basics: who am I and what do I do? I’m an educator and a life long learner. I teach a smattering of college education courses, am an AP exam facilitator, and I freelance as an assessment and teacher guide writer. I’m also a mom to Ellery and Linden and I’m married to a man who builds beautiful homes. In my spare time I manage the social media and marketing piece of our business: bodenconstructioninc.com.
The bottom line is that I’m a reader and a writer who understands what it’s like to own a business and try to balance it all. If you need some help wrapping your head around what online content looks like for your business and want to be more successful getting “your word” out, hit us up.
